Sign with Care provides Health and Social Care tutoring to anyone undertaken a course or qualification that requires extra support, guidance or one-to-one time to reach their full potential. Sign with Care is proud to be providing British Sign Language Tutoring for all ages that is a little different to traditional tutoring. I like to teach using alternative fun ways to learn, that are especially successful with children and adults, who struggle to focus, have learning disabilities or need a different approach. These may include playing games or using songs, stories and nursery rhymes to learn sign language. My method of teaching is very relaxed in terms of not expecting learners to be sat focused on the screen at all times but to move around and take breaks as they require alongside focusing as much as they can. I like to get to know my learners and to make my tutoring personalised to them and their needs. If learners forget they are being tutored and become fully engaged in the task as fun, it allows for natural learning and progress to replace the frustrations and difficulties of traditional learning expectations. Although, I launched the company in March 2021 as Lorraine George BSL Tutoring, this was re-branded to Sign with Care in April 2024. I have been supporting individuals for over 14 years with educational tasks within my Health and Social Care Career in a variety of roles including Learning Support Assistant and Sessions Coordinator in Educational Settings for young people with additional needs. I also have valuable experience from working as a Registered Care Manager in a Deaf-blind Residential Setting. Although Sign with Care is new, the passion and experience I teach with has been built up over many years.
I can make a difference to peoples days and lives by sharing my own skills, knowledge and life experiences. I can do all of this from the comfort of my own home office so I can make the most of my working time without needing to travel.
I became a mum and wanted to ensure I could put my previous skills and experience to use while being available to my son.
I love to tutor and to help learners who may find learning difficult, pressurizing or boring to think outside of the box and to achieve the best that they can be. I am kind, caring, patient and fully committed to all of my learners to provide the highest quality of tutoring in a way that each learner responds to best.
Yes, all of my tutoring services are online and are carried out via Microsoft Teams.
Learners can access Microsoft Teams via browser so no app or download is required. Alternative options can be discussed with individual learners if required.
My business was launched after the Covid-19 pandemic so all of my services are online.

They tutored me also my deaf child too. I had a great experience with us. I do lesson 3 time a week and are getting more confident with my sign language so I can communicate with my child which was great and not even stressed at all!
