Want to get up to speed with the basics of technology or need to learn something specific? Would you like to be better at using a computer for work and improve your Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills? Do you find that friends and family try to help, but you can't keep up with how fast they do everything? With many years of experience training people on computers, there is never a silly question, and if you have only one or two specific things you want to learn, that's fine, no matter how basic or complicated it may seem. Lessons are at your own pace and conducted in a friendly, patient and helpful manner. Beginners to advanced users are welcome. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Simon www.deviceacademy.co.uk
I love seeing people enjoy using their technology, instead of being frustrated with it.
Helping people in my community inspired me to go further and turn my passion for technology into a business.
I'm friendly, very patient and good at making things more simple to understand, you learn at your own pace in Laymen's terms during each 1 hour session.
Yes, in fact, I encourage people to take lessons online, if it's something your not that comfortable with then now is the time to jump in and get used to it.
During Covid-19, we depended on technology, more than before, and with everything becoming contactless, we have to adapt to new ways of communicating and learning.
Over the past months, private lessons have become essential, and luckily I now have an easy way to help customers. It takes just a few moments to set up screen sharing on an iPad, iPhone, Apple or Microsoft Windows computer, in this scenario both parties can see the screen and training can continue online just as well as sitting next to each other in the same room.
Device Academy follows government guidelines in the event of visiting customers which includes full PPE, distance and regular washing of hands and equipment.

Shaman has been tutoring my son in Maths for about a couple of months now. Lessons are going well and my son finds his calm and patient approach really helpful. He doesn't fell anxious if he gets the answer wrong because Shaman reassures him and explains the topic again until he understands it. My son doesn't particularly like Maths but with Shaman's input he is gradually growing in knowledge and confidence. Shaman is approachable and available outside of lessons to support with tricky homework questions which is a bonus. The video recording of each lesson is also very useful for revision.
